Heya,

I just came back from China! Yup, that's right, I spent about 2 weeks over there with colleagues from our local Shaolin Kung Fu showteam where I train. We were invited over to perform on occasion of inaugurating an amusement park/hotel facility. I wanna spare you the details on how I actually got a free trip over there with all expenses paid, but our master is the nephew of the abbot from Shaolin (no kidding) so we got some connections...

Anyway, I had pulled my hamstring (for the first time ever JUST before flying off to China) and couldn't really perform which was extremely annoying and depressing.
Good times we had nevertheless. Visited the Shaolin Temple and made a trip to Shanghai also.
Jeez, I made tons of photos of the skyline (and everything else of course) - totally amazing!
Well, I actually miss the country already. It was indeed a cultural shock with unbelievable experiences, but the whole mentality of the country got to me. Upon leaving the aircraft when I came home, I actually felt despise for Germany - no offence.
Seriously, the first guys we met at the passport control were some super-unfriendly German officials and I was like: "Alright, WTF, how about taking the next plane back to China?!"
Ah, yeah...
Weather was awesome, food was decent and we had some fun time with the chinese kung fu dudes for sure.
And yes, I did see the very poverished side of the country and experienced the bad air and all the other nasty things as well, but I loved every bit of it!
China is great, whenever you get the chance to go there, grab it!
