China - photo set 3 by Hideyoshi China - photo set 3 by Hideyoshi
Here are some impressions from my trip to China!
I tried to pick some distinctive shots from different places.

Here's my spontaneous labeling for each of them :)

1 - After-show photo session with the sifus
2 - Mass drill
3 - Contrasts
4 - Cable madness - electrocution guaranteed!
5 - in peaceful unity...

first photo soooo reminds me of Jackie Chan movies .___. xD
yea the one with "contrasts" reminds me of malaysia too ...the center of kuala lumpur was filled with huge buildings and modern and the periphery was with small blocks and gave you an impression of poverty(?) with clothes hanging all over the windows and stuff like that very similar to this pic but even soo dunno why I still like it better than my own country
was shocked looking at so many cables xD
the last pic is the best
thank you for the pics! I loved everyone of them (except for the chicken legs ^^;) xD

Jackie movies? Nah :) Those flicks never had any monks in them for the most part. Mainland and shaw brothers movies, those had plenty of shaolin stuff :) Just being a wise-a$$, sorry :P I am very much into Hong Kong action cinema, my bro owns a huge collection of asian movies.

lol xD ahahaha well I'm sure Jackie has some old movies in which he was a monk ...hmmm at least one where he makes a forbidden soup(?) and gives it to his friends and then is punished xD by the abbot xD (dunno if they were real monks though xD) and don't worry you're not a wise ass :333 I like martial art movies but I'm not extremely into it meaning I may be wrong x3
can I borrow your bro's collection? xD j/k :3

'In China they eat dogs' - I figured this statement wasn't actually confirmed when I was there...

Hey buddy! I loved this series of pictures. I am trying to win a trip to China for the Olympic games but my chances are not good.

I do not care about the Olympics. I just wanted to go check out China. Maybe I will win and get a chance to go. Thanks for sharing some of the sights!! :D

Seen Blade Runner? Great! I bet you liked it? It's not everone's taste, I know that. But the settings and cinematography is ace!

i liked it for sure ... it was mind-boggling and the environments were very surreal. i also noticed the "random" singing at certain parts of the movie that reminded me [again] of GITS [the first movie]. the movie also had some similar themes, like how do you tell what is human and what isn't. or better yet, what does it mean to be human?

Shang Hai is a crazy city. Personally I prefered Mian Yang. Wei Yuan was also an interesting place. Where all did you go in China?

We started out in Yingshang (Anhui) were we had our kung fu demos, then went to Shaolin and finally visited Shanghai. That's all, I wish we could have seen more, but this wasn't exactly holidays... Next time! :)
