these gears are getting redesigned entirely. While being inspired by the original figurines, we want to make them look more agile and 'mature' for the new game. Sleek is definitely a direction we're taking.
Nicely done, Hideyoshi. As I explained to the others, this isn't Shockwave, nor Tau, but VOTOMs is getting closer to the truth.
The inspiration off the Command Jager head designed is very nice, but that looks like an upgraded design for the Light Autocannon I see there, and no rocket pod? Hmmm... Duelist must be low on payment to go without those.
Spitting Cobra's is probably the better definition. You want to check out the Dream Pod 9 website to know all the different types of Southern (and Northern, and Peacr River) Gears that will probably show up. God bless!
No surprise, since Heavy Gear was based on VOTOMs, Greylord.
But Heavy Gear came out years before the Tau ever showed up in Warhammer. Just that most people know Warhammer 40k before they ever check out other miniaturized wargames.
But Heavy Gear has been around since 1994, and has been through ups, downs, and throw-arounds, and is now coming out with its third iteration, this computer game, Heavy Gear Assault. As a huge fan, I'm glad you like the design. This, though, is just a general-purpose trooper Gear, not a scout, or commando, or actual fire support Gear. Those you'll see soon enough. God bless.
When I did see Jaeger in Pacific Rim, this was of course my first thought, buuuut I didn't mind. At least Del Toro will give mecha and kaiju a real shot at being -good- coming out of Hollywood, which is more than I can say for the American Godzilla. -_- So much opportunity lost...
As far as Pacific Rim fans calling this stuff out... heh, we can set'em right.
