Not the usual deal from me! :)
But I find it important to delve into many different areas - characters, genres etc.

This was done for CHOW - Sherlock Holmes, with my own interpretation so to say. Scruffy looking with glasses :)

I actually forced myelf to render the character and consider it a great practice.

No ref. on the background, just some for the character.
There are some perspective issues (besides other flaws), but I was working without a grid.
I am happy with the mood, it'S exactly how I wanted it to feel.

Cool. Sehr ungewohnt von dir, aber du solltest öfter so was machen. Hat ne gute und mysteriöse Atmosphäre.
Der Boden passt allerdings nicht so ganz zu dem gut ausgearbeiteten Gesicht (obwohl ich gerade den Boden hier sehr mag :))

ich arbeite gern mit Kontrasten: zwischen detailliert und undetailliert z.B. Außerdem wollte ich unbedingt etwas vom groben speedy look drin haben. Ich mag absolut sauber ausgerenderte Bilder nicht so gern...

This is incredible, I love the fluidity. The lighting and imagery create a sense of mystery and danger, especially with the mere silhouette of a figure on the right. The subtle movement in Sherlock catches the eye but also is faithful to the studious character of the subject. Your use of contrast and illusion of depth with the level of detail is marvelous. The cold damp environment adds to the hidden danger of the scene. Excellent work!

Wow, so cool! The shiny effects on the wet ground are really interesting. And I like it Holmes isn't that young boy people always want to describe him. He is a serious intelligent man.

I envy your talents buddy.
