I didn't want to miss the chance to participate in this Ghibli themed contest.
It was also nice to try something very different than what I usually paint and also experiment with style.
This was the first idea that came to mind when I learned about the themes of the film and I went with it.

I forget the name of the movie but it was an anime style film about a guy trying to make planes and it remains to this day to be one of my favorite anime movies
