The Windy City.
Probably this is the most time consuming artwork I did so far. The linart took around 3 hours and was done on a format slightly smaller than A3. All together it took like 10-12 hours...
Coloring a lineart is quite annoying most of the time. I prefer doing paintings, but sometimes you can only get a certain amount of detail and design out shapes properly/quickly with the help of a strict lineart.
Lighting looks numb, the pic lacks mood. Lots of vanishing points involved here...

sidestory:
I am up in the sky, sailing above the grand cityscape in a sky-streamer and all I see is beyond words. I spot tiny cars, the huge wind generators and as one of the passengers beside me nears my ear to talk to me I hear....

edit: just had to fix this up for a client, so I wanted to upload the edited version here also.
I really never liked the colorful version anyway...
I agree it doesnt have quite as much mood as your usual pictures but don't let that put you off. This picture is amazing! It doesn't seem like it is missing anything at all! The way you have intergrated the line art into the finished picture works very well, and as always, you detail is very finely tuned! I really like this one if you can't already tell!
Whoa! Where do you get all the patience to do that!?? Such details! wow....

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
